Subject: [ferrethealth] Is Proliferative Colitis contagious?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have a 7 year old female MF ferret, with adrenal disease and
insulinoma (being treated with lupron and pred), just diagnosed (based
on symptoms and x-ray) with Proliferative Colitis and started on
chloramphenicol. She is housed with 10 other ferrets ranging in age
from just under 1 year to 8+ years. Do I need to worry about the
others becoming ill as well and should they be treated as a preventative?
