I am currently treating one of my ferrets with Lupron. The situation is
this: he has already had a left adrenalectomy and my wife and I are
concerned about the consequences of removing the right. So we have put
him on a 3 month course of lupron (1 injection every 3 weeks). In
additional, becuase he had a prostate problem we have added flutamide
(.4cc orally twice daily). The flutamide works to coat his prostate
preventing the testosterone from doing so thereby preventing the
prostate from swelling. The combination of flutamide and lupron have
worked very well for us. I would suggest talking to your vet about
flutamide - it might be what you are looking for.

Sincerely,
SirHopofGrass (a.k.a. Robert Rose)
