"Rat tail" is nothing to worry about unless it spreads to her haunches/ back. Many ferrets get a bald tail and it is not clear why. However, they are perfectly fine otherwise. Just keep an eye on it that the alopecia is not spreading beyond the tail and that the hair is not thinning considerably, nor are you able to pull plucks out. (I do not mean tugging hard on a ferret's hair, but if it comes out easily.) Talc spots are also a sign of adrenal disease..... small brownish spots on the skin.
