JJ, I am so very sorry.
I just now read your posts.
I will tell you I have excellent ferret vets in my area, and I have consulted with 3 about using chemo with ferrets.
All 3 have not had good results using chemo. All said if the ferret can respond, it's short term.
All recommend higher doses of pred to slow the progression of the cancer, it is easier on the ferret, and results last longer.
I've lost ferrets to lymphoma, all were treated with pred, and were comfortable for some months.
If these vets had good results using chemo, and recommended that to me, I'm certain I would have tried that route.
We do what we can, and rely on experts to guide us.
