Insulinoma is a progressive disease and she may need a higher dose of Pred now. Adding Diazoxide might also help. But, what I would suggest most is to find a ferret vet who is not 'incompetent'.

As for when to 'let her go', no one can give you specifics. But you should know that ferrets can hide a lot of pain and act 'normal' sometimes, but be really hurting most of the other time.

It is a VERY difficult decision, but my belief is that when all else has been tried, and the inevitable is coming, it is our last duty of love to help them pass in peace, before they know nothing but pain in their last hours in this world.
