If the house has too low of a humidity, it can cause dry skin on the ferrets, hence they scratch more. Might try boiling a pot of water on stove for a while to humidify the air. Might help and it won't hurt. May consider adding some furotone to her soup a few times a week.
If she acts normal when out of the cage, and doesn't cry or wimper when you pick her up, she should be okay. Keep an eye on her water intake and what she eats. Poops okay? Mine sometimes eat all the food in their bowls and some days they leave food in the bowls. Think the weather and time of year has a lot to do with their eating and sleeping habits. JMHO.
