Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Occasional Vomit - need advice dearly...I don't have a ferret savy vet
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I would consider fur ball in the stomach and sometimes caught leading
to the vomiting. These are not usu visible on x ray and when bad
enough can be felt in the stom. By this time you might start to see
weight loss etc. Usu diagnosed by exploratory. If that is done and
not mass or fur ball biopsies of the intestines and stom can be
obtained for biopsy to rule IBD or Lymphoma in or out. Have you used
a fur ball preventative program with your kid? There could be a
number of things and you may need to decide if you want to do it now
or wait til something gets worse and that is always tough when they
seem to be okay. Also could this be stress related? I would try fur
ball remedies daily, perhaps some enzymes like Prozyme or
papaya/bromelain or both mixed with food and see if it helps at all.
That is my initial thought for now. Best of luck to you.
