Subject: [ferrethealth] new ferret
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

first I want to thank Sukie for telling me to get Mooch to a vet. He was the one who coughed and choked after meds went in his lungs. He is on amoxi and seems fine.
Now for my question, a lady called my sister and said she had a ferret that was a bad biter and would I take it. Julie said no I wasn't taking in rescues anymore but I knew someone who would. The lady said just forget it she'd turn him loose. There is six inches of snow here and it's cold. Julie said bring him to her and she'd talk to me. I am taking him unless I can't cope and then I'm going to have to call a dear friend and rescuer. How isolated do I have to keep him from Mooch and for how long? He is eight months old and has had no shots but seems healthy according to the lady. She just doesn't like him because of the biting. Any ideas on making sure he doesn't pass anything to Moochie?
thanks,
laurel
