Hi Nellie, both my castrated hobs continued to mate with jills in heat
but they were castrated at 18 months old after they had been used for
breeding. My son's two male dogs both use to cover bitches in season and
they both had been castrated at a year old. I think it is because of the
late castration they are adult enough to know what to do unlike the
animals neutered as babies. Chris.
