Does she have any other probems besides seedy stools? That in itself doesn't seem like enough reason to subject her to surgery. The 'seeds' are probably just undigested kibble.

Excess Heliobacter usually manifests itself in the other direction, meaning diarrhea or dark, tarry stools, not seedy stools. If it is a Heliobacter problem, I don't think 10 days on antibiotics are nearly enough to erraticate it.

If she were my ferret, there's a few things I'd try before subjecting her to surgery or drugs.

1) Grind up the kibble into smaller pieces in a food processor. Smaller pieces are easier to digest.
2) Grind up some of that kibble even more and make a soup out of it. Heat the soup slightly in the microwave before serving, just enough so that it's a little warm to the touch.
3) If she'll eat the soup, then you can add some other things to it to help her stomach and to make it more enticing to her. Things like Ferretone or Ferretvite or Uncle Jim's Duk Soup mix for taste and nutrition. You can try adding some acidophilus, the 'good bacteria', to aid in digestion. I have also had success in the past with slippery elm bark powder, which is a good all around way of soothing and helping the GI tract to heal from some problems.

Good Luck,

Jeff
