Awwww....I am so sorry that you lost him.
I have had ferrets have no masses and suddenly have a ping-pong ball
size mass the next day (lymphoma)....
Are you going to have the vet do a necropsy? I always think "no" at
first but then it helps me knowing what really happened. I think a
necropsy would be the only way to know for sure what happened unless
the vet saved some of the aspirate to send out to be sampled...
