Subject: [ferrethealth] Vet needed in "middle of nowhere" Missouri

Hello :) I am in need of a cheaper vet and hopefully nearer to
where I live as well. I live in Warrensburg, Missouri (1.5 hrs East
of Kansas City and 1.5 hrs West of Columbia MO.) My current vet (a
1.3 hour drive away), who is expertly trained in all things ferret,
has significantly raised the prices recently. The last vet visit
consisted of the vet saying "yes he needs surgery" when in fact I KNEW
he needed surgery and getting charged $45 for it. I also had just
brought him along when another of my ferrets needed a Lupron injection
($120!) I was wondering how much other people pay for a Lupron
injection as well.
