I have heard from Dr. Bruce Williams, ferret expert veterinary pathologist who said:
"Didn't get the whole message, but plant viruses don't cross into animals.
They have evolved down a totally different path.
Bruce"
So, the ferret may have been infected by that clear algae itself, Prototheca, or may have had a
NON-plant virus, or may have had something else, but was NOT infected by a plant virus.
