Notice that not all insulin types work well in ferrets.
Notice, too, that Brewer Yeast helps reduce blood
sugar because of the chromium in it, so while the
effect is not large it might help ferret with diabetes.
(That is also why it should *not* be supplemented
beyond the normal amount found in foods for
ferrets with insulinoma.)
Congratulations on finding the diabetes fast by being
careful and testing. Each year there will be one or
two people who insist on just treating for insulinoma
instead of testing and that mistake can cause bad
organ damage.
