Subject: [ferrethealth] Mice #2
To: Ferret Health List <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

I wanted to thank you all for such wonderful responses.
We let ours eat it if they get one,but I've seen a mouse in the babies cage WITH the babies IN the cage.!!!!
I have a hard time when I see one run across the room and theres fuzzys out!
I feel like saying "go get it".
I wonder if they just think "Oh well mommy and daddy rescued smaller babies! LOL
I am horrified to see one shewing on a dead mouse ,lol and they fight over it,i am not diving
up a dead mouse body,yuck!

Today we took the plastic bottoms of cages we aren't using and put them upside down getting them off the floor, making it easier to clean and harder for mice to get into!
We found 2 holes in the room and put sos pads (LOL) in them....(Steel Wool)

As far as the sticky paper goes we just can't do that .what if it laid down getting its eye or something stuck to it,ws trying to get away and pulled its eye out?
I'm the kind of person who would stand there with scissors trying to get most of the paper off its feet before it is set down outside!
I know HOW pathetic but that's me..Someone has to be that way . It might as well be me.
We were concerned about poison reside,or our babies eating poisoned mice. We don't dare take the chance.
Oh we do have 2 cats, one mommer (who used to be our champion mouser, but she's old now (17yr old?) we were hopimg she'd hand the crown down to Reesie (Clairesse)
our 4 yr old cat.
Reesie is more content playing with them til she torments them to death.
If i see her grab one and run downstairs we run after her trying to get it away from her, How pathetic again lol........
Then we put it outside.
So i'm still one the search as in just what to do... We have some huame ones, but they don''t go in there. :(
