Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: VERY SICK FERRET! NEEDING ASSISTANCE!

Greetings to all--
It is my regret to inform you all that tonight, January 14, 2007,
Chester will be put down. He had begun to show a slight improvement
over the past month...But during the past week or so, he began to
deteriorate...some vomiting, diahreah came back with a vengance, and
his ability to support his weight fell rapidly. Tonight, while my
friend and I were watching him, he stumbled and fought to make his
way to where he pottys in the kitchen...fell over twice before he
got there...then, as he reached his pee pad, he fell over
again...and couldn't get back up. He layed there and pooped, getting
it on him...with nothing more he could do.
My friend (whose name is Cheryll b.t.w.) broke into tears seeing
this...and realized that he needed to be released from his suffering
and pain. He will be greatly mourned and missed by both of us and
our friends.
My deepest thanks to all of you who posted messages, and aided in
research to find an answer to this...you all have shown me (with no
doubts) that you love ferrets, and are incredible people in general.
