Some ferreys are allergic to corn. I think it is the germ, a protien,
which they react to which would mean that there was no problen with pure
corn starch. The ones who react to it show a syndrome which is called
inflamatory bowel disease or IBD. The two ingredients in ferret food
that cause most of the IBD are chicken and corn. I am no vet.
