Tony, glad for you and Suki!!
I've been through a slew of surgeries with my Kids and they each heal in their own way ,
and at heir own rate.
None has had or needed pain meds, and few have come home with anti-biotics. I have
removed the stitches on most myself.
Yes, their environment plays into their attitude during recovery, same as with us, ie.;
ferrets chosing to follow cagemates to the bridge, or only ferrets refusing to thrive when
surrendered, dying of "a broken heart". Only on an oldster would I make adjustments to
the hammock level, and/or shut off the ramp so they don't over do it.
