Thanks for responding, I wasn't sure I would get any input at
all. No, an intestinal biopsy has never been done, unfortunately. He
possibly fell down 3 stairs, that is what started the neuro side of
things. Not sure if some other underlying disease caused weakness to
cause the fall, or if a fall caused the weakness/neuro signs. He was
on pred when the incident first occured back in May 2006. The owner
cocomplained of urine leakage on and off while on pred. Once the pred
was tapered and discontinued, the leakage stopped. Not sure what the
dose was. It is my understanding that he could not walk at all after
the fall and would just drag some. With lots of therapy from Snickers
owner he has improved, but get around best with support. He still
also has episodes where he throws his head back and gets stiff. I
haven't seen it that is just the description that I have. That is why
I directed them to the wheels. I wasn't sure if the POCT ADV test was
good enough for a negative answer. I know there are mixed views about
them, but in general I like them.
