Subject: [ferrethealth] Yellow stool
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Four of our five babies have had problems with diarrhea for the past
few weeks. We've tried chloramphenicol with no results and now
amoxicillin. They've seemed to be getting better.

Now Lily, who's 3 years old, has had yellow runny stools for the past
few days. The strange thing is she'll mostly have normal looking stool
(birdseed-ish because of the amoxidrops) but once or twice a day it
will look really bad. We're baffled.

She was on amoxicillin twice daily for 3 weeks until yesterday, and
she has Purina FortiFlora in her chicken at night, and 1 gram BeneBac
in the morning. I don't know if maybe the attempt at putting good
bacteria back in her system has caused these occasional yellow, runny
stools but we're worried about her, if anyone has had a similar
experience, please let me know.
Thank you,
~Emily and the five "feez"
