Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret saliva
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Has anyone ever noticed what I perceive to be an anti-
coagulant property of ferret saliva.
My ferrets don't bite, but during my normal play/tease ferret
activity I some times get a canine tooth prick in the back of
my hand.
This often reults in a extensive bleed about 0.75in. x .5in. area
below the skin surface. If I accidently prick my self with a pin
or somesuch I don't have this occuring.

Tony (not a vet), Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
