Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: question about storing lupron, balding sides
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Clover,

As for ferrets never reading the medical books YES, they don't always
follow the clasic signs for adrenal as well as Insulinoma.
Case in Point, My Noel had been losing hair on just one side. The
hair would grow back and then fall out aagin. now her tail and butt
were fully covered with hair. In July we did exporitory surgery, she
had adrenal and so the gland removal was done. The tumor was 1/4 inch
in diameter. Sadly I lost her a couple of months ago, she would have
been 5 years old Christmas day. Now her nephew has the same balding
pattern. He is sceduled on the 25th for surgery.

Now the reason I mentioned Insulinoma, is because a couple of years
ago, my Angel was showing the classic balding pattern for Adrenal. I
took her in for adrenal surgery and to our suprise, her adrenal
glands were fine. What she did have was tumors and nodules on her
pancreas (Insulinoma) but unfortunally we lost her about 4 days later.
