Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: question about storing lupron, balding sides
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I did a search on lupron storage and found an interesting discussion. A woman was
wondering whether the expiration date on her (mixed, refrigerated) bottle of lupron was
correct after opening, or only if it remained unopened. Followup post says her pharmacist
told her in spite of the date, he'd worry after six months (!) because of possible
contamination from drawing up so many injections from the same bottle. (Seems to be
fairly common to use the stuff [I assume] off-label to prevent miscarriage.) So it's certainly
starting to sound possible. At any rate there are people out there using refrigerated lupron
to give themselves regular injections with the blessings of doctors and pharmacists.
