Opps, I left out a juvenile who died about 26 years ago of what was thought to possibly have
been avian mycobacteria so she probably already had an underlying, compromising condition
since healthy ferrets are less susceptible to that. She was from poor genetic stock: a
northern NJ (or possibly just over the border into PA or NY since the origin wasn't clear from
the seller) fur farm which began selling into the pet community. Lovely kit for personality
and wit, though that often was not the case with the ones from fur farms...
We should have kept better records, but we haven't and there is no archive trail early on
though I get to use that for later ones.
