Subject: [ferrethealth] Yellow foamy stools in 2 ferrets- always healthy kids
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Evening all,
I saw 2 of my 5 ferrets go to the bathroom with what I would call
yellow watery foamy stools. They have always been very healthy and I
have never seen this before. Today is the first day that I have seen
anything like that. The oldest is almost 4 male ferret and the other
is about 3 female ferret. I don't know of anything that has changed
for them, still eating and out and about, still playing and taking
treats (n-bone chewy's). There is NO smell to the poo either. I gave
them both ferretlax and will call the vet in the morning to get
everyone in. I have 5 so I will have to watch for all of them to go to
see who has the same symtoms. I did recently have some sort of illness
myself, sore throat and chest congestion. I did not make over them or
handle them much during that time. No one else in the family got sick
with it either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I have a good
vet but I would like to get opinions from this group so I can make sure
he is on the same path too. I cleaned them up and will take the next
samples they make to the vet. Thanks in advance, my kids are my world,
I would never want to see them suffering from anything.
