Given your symptoms, given that ferrets often hide respiratory symptoms to a downright
scary extent, given that intestinal woes can be secondary problems for influenza (which is
primarily a respiratory disease), and given that ferrets pretty often catch influenza from
humans you have to consider influenza among the possibilities.
