Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Insulinoma - dilemma about surgery
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
here I am again ... some time has passed since my last post, I've read
some stuff on and off line, talked to vet, talked a lot with a friend
whose ferret also has Insulinoma, had many conversations with my BF
and we decided not to put Valkyra through surgery. We'll keep her on
meds and see what time brings on us. She is now eating AD with boiled
chicken from my hand, no longer has to be force fed through syringe.
She no longer gets any treats except meat, AD and Totally Ferret
kibble. Our other ferrets are also on different diet, they get 1 treat
every 10 or 14 days, AD and chicken on daily basis, and are also on TF
kibble as they are used to it and it is only quality ferret food on
our market.
hopefully things will go well for Valkyra, as well as they can be in
given circumstances.
