Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Tongue flicking in older ferret

Jeff, thanks for the reply. I have a call into his vet, who is in
surgery today. Jersey does get carafate before his pred most of the
time. Usually I mix it in with his soup. He always has runny brown
poops, and does seem to have some discomfort when pooping. I failed to
mention that Jersey also has the curled toes, slipping hind end grip
and arched back when standing by the food dish. He is not a healthy
ferret. My job is to keep him comfy until he is ready to leave. The
other ferrets, including my two new boys (added first week Oct.)from
Ohio, seem to recognize this need and keep him warm.

I will mention the ulcers to the vet.
