Subject: [ferrethealth] Is there any preventative measures against serious health issues?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I read so much of these horrible diseases our precious pets develop. I
was just wondering if there isn't something we can do to help ward
these off, or at the very least, prolong time before they develop them?
I was just reading here today about a person whose ferret has survived
2 years with insulomia (??) I just thought they passed within a short
time of many of these diseases.
Its just not fair; is it? They are so precious and do not deserve such
hard, life-taking diseases. Is there any research being done on these
things? I looked in the files, well, I glanced, and nothing caught my
eye without going into each of them.
I am just so dreading when I have to face this. At one point, I
thought of finding good homes for my babies, but....no one can take
care of them or love them as much as I do. Well, maybe but I choose to
think I am their life and hope.

If you all could just respond to the group so many new folks like
myself will read and have these questions answered. And, again, thanks
to everyone who has responded with so much helpful information on my guys.

Linda
God bless you all for being here. I am trying to learn
