I can attest to this as well. I have a very fussy little girl who also
happens to have EGE. However, she absolutely LOVES the Innova EVO 95%
Meat Duck! This food contains skin, organ meat as well as ground up
bones and has no grains in it. I mix it with a little bit of hot water
and stir it until its more like a warm soup. She now comes to me
asking for it and literally trembles with excitement as soon as she
smells it. I can barely keep her from knocking the bowl out of my
hands.

I was giving her A/D but it is chicken based and that's becoming a
problem for her.

However, supplementing the Innova EVO Ferret with the Duck seems to have
stabilized her and she has gained weight, is full of energy and more her
vibrant Alpha self!

Recently it was suggested to me to try the Innova EVO Cat/Kitten because
it has a higher turkey base than chicken and other than containing 1%
more fat is virtually identical to the Innova EVO Ferret nutritionally.
Besides being less expensive, it is easier to find. So I will be
switching over.

I am still working on convincing her to try a raw diet. I have ordered
some organic meat jerky (i.e., quail, bison & beef) that I will mix into
her food and hope she doesn't turn her fussy little nose up at that as
well. The person who makes this also makes organic raw mouse meat but
that can't be shipped out. So I have convinced him to try making
organic mouse jerky and he has agreed!

I really would stay away from Canine anything if possible. Although I
agree that Innova EVO Canine is better than most other kinds of Canine
foods. However, cats are more like ferrets in terms of being obligate
carnivores and their nutritional requirements are similar, so a high
quality Kitten food is preferable to any kind of dog food.

Good luck with your little one.

Tressie
