To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Thank you all for the info and your effort. :)
Prolonged estrus... no.
Insulinoma... probably not.
JL sounds most likely at this point. :(
I added the x-rays to a photofile named Vanilla X-ray.
Can anyone tell me what seems to be wrong in the photos?
Is the thymus enlarged?
What causes the dehydration?
Does JL damage the kidneys? Can the dehydration problem even be in
kidneys, my vet seems to think so.
Is there anything one can do to help the fluids absord and stay in
better? All the fluids given orally seems to just come out as a lot
off pee and still she's dehydrated. How come?
The situation with the jill is still the same. She's been injected
fluids twice a day, and some days she actually gets up and examines
the house for a while. Still she eats only when one wakes her up and
keeps the bowl next to her face, she also bites the bowl a lot then.
If it's JL shouldn't everything be over pretty quickly?
This is the fourth week she's like this.
Our vets(in the whole country) aren't as ferret knowledgeble as I'd
like them to be. That's why I'm in here to get some help. :)
Best Regards,
Aija
