Please do some research before buying air purifiers(i.e. check with some consumer products group) MANY of the popular ones that are advertised on tv have issues that could effect your household. ALSO check out the filter issue, you may find that using replaceable ones increase the benefits.( I recently purchased a FILTRITE by 3M that was listed in the top five by Consumer Reports after doing my research)

On the recommendation of my allergist and my Father-in-Law's
pulmonologist we use Environcaire (Enviracaire? My eyes are bad
and I can't bend down to see spelling clearly right now since I had
surgery yesterdayso search on both.) with hepa filter. Some of the
most recent of those have cleanable filters. They are sold widely.
