Subject: [ferrethealth] Sub-Q fluids for the ferrets

OK, I have a question for the vets - and those of you who give sub-q
fluids to your ferrets are asked for input, too.
When giving sub-q fluids to vets, what do you use, saline or Lactated
Ringer's. Is there a problem with giving one or the other? Why do you
recommend one over the other? Or, does it matter?
I have had vets give me both and I try to keep some on hand at all
times. Thank you for your feedback.
