Subject: [ferrethealth] Eyes turning red
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have a 4 1/2 sprite who was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Granulomatous
(EGE) last August - confirmed with biopsies taken during an exploratory
surgery. I am managing to keep on top of this nasty disease by changing
her diet as needed. However, I am noticing that her eyes are getting
more noticeably red.
Now she did get a full face poof from one of my non-descented DMK
sprites, who turned out to have an anal gland infection a few weeks ago.
Her eyes clouded over and did get red following that episode but after I
rinsed her off her eyes appeared to be normal again.
But I am noticing that lately her eyes are getting redder. They don't
appear to be swollen. I am wondering whether this is normal aging or
whether it is an effect from the poof or the EGE or if something else is
going on? Hard to tell if its affecting her vision, she appears to
still be able to get around okay. She is a chocolate sable.
