The highest I've been at is 23, but I run a small shelter. It's in my home,
however, so it's pretty much like having that many of my own. They still get
out of cage time daily, go outside to play in the dig pen, get their HUGE
multi- ferret nation cage cleaned, medicated and loved...it just takes a bit
more time to get the cleaning done and make sure everyone gets handled and
harrassed (nail clippings, body check for signs of adrenal, etc).
