The blockage may not be an intestinal one.

Often the first sign of a URINARY blockage is that it also
blocks the path for feces by pressing on the colon.

UNTREATED urinary blockage is a rapidly fatal and painful
condition for a male ferret which can happen when the
prostate is enlarged due to the hormonal output from the
deiseased adrenal glands. Even removing the urine by needle
buys time.

SO NO MATTER WHICH IS BLOCKED THIS FERRET NEEDS AN
EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT NOW.

You will find info on each of these in past FHLs. The
separate FHL Archives address is in my signature lines
and the FHL itself also can be searched but is nowhere
near as comprhensive.

http://ferrethealth.org/archive/FHL2144

is a place to begin for one of them.
