I am not sure how far you are from the border to Canada, but if you can get=
your baby in to Guelph Animal Hospital for testing, they will be able to f=
ully test your baby and determine if that is actually what is wrong. They a=
re a University and study ferrets with every single possible illness. They =
were able to correct all the mistakes and misdiagnoses my actual vet had ma=
de and basically were able to help me get my babies back on their feet agai=
n. This might end up being a little bit of a trip for you, but I know other=
s from New York have been taking their animals there as well. The prices th=
ey have there are incredible as well in comparison to a regular vet. Let me=
know if you need more info.

My name is Christina and my ferret Walter was diagnosed with diabetesafter =
his insolinoma and adrenal gland disease surgeries. Although myvet is speci=
alizes in ferrets, Walter is only the second ferret hesever had to be a dia=
betic. I live in the upstate NY region. I havebeen trying to do as much res=
earch to find others who have ferrets orhave had ferrets with diabetes to f=
ind out what else works to help myWalter. He is currently on insulin two ti=
