Hope Val pulls through. Do you know anything of her breeding history?
does she come froma line of jills that typically produce so many kits?
TWELVE is extremely uncommon isn't it?

I'd be on the fence about allowing the kits to stay with her. Even
though you feed them, as long as they are still suckling, her body will
continue to produce milk and deplete her calcium.

I can't imagine hand raisning 8 kits - but the possibility of losing
Val altogether, would put them in your hands anyway.
