Thank you for your responce - i feel very comfortable and love my vet -
but i would not mind a second opinion. I'd just like reassurance since
my ferrets situation is rare and he is sooo special to me.

Walter (DOB 1/1/2001) had surgery on 12/13/07, then on 12/31/07 we did a
bg test (it was high - i don't have my records on hand) so my vet
suggested a re-check and on 1/3/2008 toake sure and it was the same
deal. He then put Walter on insulin (PZI U-100) 2x day and his bg went
down to 140. i scheduled a bg for this sat to see how things are
working out. I will have to post his prior numbers up when i get my
records. i have noticed that his drinking has decreased since he has
been on insulin, therefore not urinated as much either. I was hoping to
also find if with his condition would he be able to live a normal ferret
life ? - considering no other complications?
