Subject: [ferrethealth] New Owner Questions

Hi---
We just adopted a four year old ferret named Blackberry...she is very
sweet....though may potentially have insulinoma and or IBD....she has
had diarrhea and her glucose level was at 62 yesterday.
I am going to gradually take her off of EVO as the vet suggested this
might be the cause of loose stools....
Does anyone have any healing stories that may shed some light on
preventative care?
Also---I bought her these treats that she loves----but they have
raisins in them....and they are peanut butter flavored. She loves them
but I have only given her a little because now I have read that these
two things shouldn't be fed to ferrets. So confusing.
What is a great healthy treat other than ferretone? Is there a good
chew toy?Bones?

p.s. one more question! have you ever had a ferret actually catch a
cold from you?
