Well,

My vet didn't mention anything about a home test using a glucometer,
nor how soon to bring Fozzy back for a blood retest. Could be he
doesn't expect him to last long enough?

But between this forum and others suggesting a push for an increase in
dosage for Fozzy, a call to the vet as mentioned said I could give him
0.25 ml of the 5mg/5ml pred.

When asked which pred Fozzy was actually getting the receptionist
said, " Prednisolone is the generic form of prednisone - they are both
the same thing."

According to the texts I've read - they are NOT the same - but who am I
to argue?

Regardless, Fozzy IS showing improvement with the higher dosage but is
still quite wobbly. I'll give him this dosage again for the next 24
hours and reevaluate.

I'd imagine 48 hours on a dosage would indicate improvement or not. He
is MUCH stronger in his objections to being medicated. Also doesn't
topple over as easily when moving.

Still carries his head tilted a bit, but not as much.
TOnight he refused his soup in favor of eating some kibbles himself as
well as visiting the water fountain on his own.

Will keep you posted. Cheers, Kim
