Subject: [ferrethealth] Fw: Lymphosarcoma

I sent this the other day and received no response at all. I'm wondering if anyone has any input. Porthos is going back to the vets this afternoon, as I'm having problems getting him to eat and I noted that he's having a little difficulty emptying his bladder (fearing prostate problems as well).
**I've been watching the dosing of ferrets with prednilosone with interest as Porthos is presently on this for lymphosarcoma. His dosing is 2.5 ml once daily of pms-prednisolone 5mg/5ml I've noticed that there is some improvement but considering the vein of splitting doses so that they get an am and pm dose, should I be giving him this in 2 doses?
Porthos weighs in at 2.4 lbs. My vet said that she knows that this is a lower dose, but will increase this as needed or if adviced.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
