Subject: [ferrethealth] Lupron questions
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Hello everybody,
I am new to this group. I am sure that this question has already
been asked and answered many times, but I hope you'll indulge my
curiosity and answer it again.
I have recently been informed of a study being done by some vets on
the Lupron shot given to ferrets prior to getting Adrenal. I am
curious if anyone has researched this, what has been found out. Is
this a good idea, or not? I am very new to the ferret world, I got
my first girl, Aspen, on October 30, 2007 when she was 6 weeks and I
got a wonderful rescued boy that was seized from his family at the
NV/CA border. I finally got my greedy little hands on my little love
Kodiak on Jan 4 of this year. Kodiak's age is unknown. I am quite
worried about the "POTENTIAL" health problems that could arise and my
very serious lack of knowledge in the illnesses and even where to
start to look to find out and what to even look for!
Any guidance in this would be deeply appreciated. If this Lupron
shot is a good idea, then I would like to do it to both of my kids.
If not, then I don't want to risk their health.
Thank you for induldging my ignorance.
Kim
