Hi Kathleen, I have a lot of the same questions with almost the same issue except that my Levi does have insulinoma. He has gotten the melatonin implant and has been getting the lupron injections for his adrenal for 2 months now. I have been told by numerous people that I should go ahead and get the adrenal surgery. I want to get it done but I feel just like you. It is a very tough decision to put on yourself. I lost my precious boy last year because I was talked into having insulinoma surgery by the vet. My Pepe died after he came out of surgery. I have still not fully recovered from losing him because he was very happy and healthy at the time that I dropped him off for his surgery. (besides the insulinoma that he was taking meds for) It is a very tough decision to make. I wish I could ve had even a month more time with my Pepe but I cut everything short by choosing the surgery. I personally will probably not get the surgery for my Levi unless he absolutely
needs it. I am very scared of risking the surgery even though the chances are very small that he will not make it. It sucks that I lost my Pepe in that very small chance that I took. I am not trying to talk you out of the surgery, just letting you know of my experience. Talk to a lot of people before you make your decision. Good Luck to you in whatever you decide. Anita
