I have so much respect for all you have done. I am sitting here in
tears hoping I never have to face the situation you are facing now. I
think the only advice I can possibly give you is to follow your
heart. If you still believe there is a chance of changing the
situation and giving him a second chance to better life, then I would
fight for it. I am also not one who believes in taking a life from
any creature, but I think we sometimes have to look at them and
determine the pleasure of their life vs. the pain they are feeling.
It is so obvious you love him dearly and I could never express just
how much I respect, and love you for that alone. Your warmth and
compassion is what is keeping him going and just might be what he
needs to fight to have just a piece of his normal life back. You do
not strike me as anyone who is willing to give up at this point and I
think for your own sanity sake, you need to exhaust all options in
reference to helping him before you will be ready to make that
decision. My heart and thoughts are with you and I am sooo proud tha
people like you exist among. Be strong and you might just be
surprised at what your efforts might give you back in return. It is
clear he loves you for all you have done and has made sure to remind
of this regularly.
