Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Hair loss on tail

my finola just turned 2 in september and she has always lost the fur
on her tail during winter. she's just started to lose it again.
it grows back in late summer/early fall. and it's not a case of
blackheads causing it to come out or excessive grooming on her part.
my vet isn't concerned either as he said it was just a seasonal thing.
this past fall, after it came back in, the fur turned orange. this has
never happened before. it was mainly the tail that was orange - with a
slight tone on her back close to the area of the tail and a little
going up along her spine.
anyone have any thoughts on what might have caused the orange fur?
should i be looking in to her being adrenal?
