Subject: [ferrethealth] Re:Koda's gone

I am sorry about Koda; I know you wrote about the quality of life question
and when it is the right time and what to do. I had written back earlier this
week about my Lily, saying I thought she still had quality of life. But
soon after I wrote, she went further downhill and was at the animal clinic since
Wednesday and I knew today I had to decide whether to bring her home or do a
mercy shot. I didn't know what to do and I got a call early this morning;
Lily had decided for me and passed away 20 minutes earlier. I am just writing
to say how hard this is for all of us - not knowing what the right thing is
to do sometimes for our sweet babies. Also, it is amazing how sensitive
ferrets are to each other. Clemy was Lily's best friend and it feels like she
knows. My two remaining girls are acting all out of kilter and it is because
they don't know where there sister is.
