Subject: [ferrethealth] heart disease...

Hi, As previously explained, my 5yr.old was disgnosed with 3rd degree
heart disease(cardiomyopathy) in June 07. Since then she has been
getting .03 Isuprel orally 4x daily,with .02 baby aspirin 2x daily
also. Results have been very good. Heart rate is between 65-80 bpm. On
the low side but quality of life is still very good. Lately(past month)
she has been having more episodes of fainting soon after she is
awakened for her meds! Immediatly she is given .02 Isuprel by injection
and this slowely brings her around, eventially back to normal. Does
anyone have any sugestions for a better treatment that will give her a
higher heart rate? I understand with this disease the best I can hope
for is maybe a year of quality of life. Also I understand there is an
implant curently being tried that gives aprox. a month of medication
for maintaining a stable heart rate. Any info or help is really
appreciated.
