Subject: [ferrethealth] Vet's can find nothing wrong with my stinky ferret Daughter..... Please help.
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Clementine. my 2 year old ferret fell ill on Sat. I rushed her to an Emergency Vet, because
she went down so fast it scared me. I thought she was going to die =(

The vet did blood work and Xrays but they found nothing wrong. I left Clem there over
night. I called 2 hours later ... no change.

I called 4 hours later, no change and her breathing started to become heavy and rapid.

48 hours and $1700 later they still don't know what was wrong. But at that point I was
going to take her to her regular vet.

Her regular Vet found nothing out of the ordinary either. She sent me home with AD,
some Amox and fluids to put under the skin to rehydrate her.

after a day I noticed she just wasn't getting better, I had read something on IBD ( if your
not familar with it its is Inflamatory Bowel Diease) so I as our Vet if we could get her on
Prednisosine.

It has made no signifigant change. Though she is a little better. The fact is I'M SCARED TO
DEATH for my little furry child, though stable she is not improving.

Has anyone every been through something like this??? I mean all her blood work and X-
ray they have taken even at different times have all been normal.

Does anyone have in ideas as to what might be wrong with her. I will give anything to save
my furry daugther. ....

Any advice or suggetions as to what it might be would be really apprecaited ... Thanks in
advance.

Meg =)
