Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Carnivore Care
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I am having the same problem with 1 I received at Christmas from my son
(there are 2). One is fine, Bandit is giving me the worry. He does great,
then becomes lethargic for 3 - 4 days, I get him up and going again (G baby
food mixed w/Ensure. He laps this up. But he remains thin; cannot seem to
get weight on him.
These guys also had really bad muscle mass; left in the 2 layered cage 24/7.
They now sleep in my dresser drawer; their cage has only 1 door and I cannot
get in to lift them out so I let them stay in my room.
I will keep an eye here and see how you are doing. Maybe we can communicate
off board.

Linda
The only thing I can think of for the muscle mass is letting them run freely
except at your bedtime. I believe it will take time to re-build the muscles
and their strength.
